面白がったり、笑い飛ばしたり、何かをたくらむ余裕を持ったり、
大いにしゃべったり、あちこち出かけたり、
エッチであることとか、同時に知に飢えたりだとか、
人に興味を持つだとか、大いに酒を飲んだりとか、
そういったことすべては体力の問題だ。
体力とは、体のどこかに貯めておけるようなものではなく、
自ら日々補給しなければ出せないものだ。

心のどこかで自分に嘘をついている人には体力は貯まらない。
本気で嬉しがったり、感動したり、面白いものに触れたりする、
そうやって得られたものだけが、楽しむためのパワーとなっていく。
それが「享楽的」ということだと思う。

野蛮でないと教養が出せないのと同様に、
知性がないと色気が出ないのと同様に、
享楽的であるにはパワーが要るものなのだ。
