Josef Albers (1888-1976) was an influential artist, teacher, and writer. He is widely known for his painting series Homage to the Square (1950-1976), his innovative publication about color theory Interaction of Color (1963), and the legacy of his teaching at the Bauhaus, Black Mountain College, and Yale University (via Albers / Albums, MINUS SPACE project space, Brooklyn, NY)
